Simple DIY Father’s Day Gift Ideas with Free Printable

simple-diy-fathers-day-gift-ideasFather’s Day is just around the corner. Do you know what you’re going to get dad? Over the years I’ve discovered that my dad is pretty much impossible to buy for. His hobbies include things like car restoration, which I happen to know nothing about. It’s hard to pick out something for a dad who’s great at everything. But when it comes down to it, it’s really the thought behind the gift. And not only the single thought, but the time you’ll spend with dad.

This Father’s Day if you’re looking for something simple to show dad that he’s the best, give him your time and a few short reminders of why you think the world of him. Below you’ll find simple items to buy for dad with a thoughtful note. Each note is available as a free 4×6 printable. You can add this 4×6 image to a word document and print it from your home printer. However, I chose to upload the images and have them printed in color and on thick picture paper at my local drugstore. All you’ll need to do is attach them to your selected item for a unique gift. However you choose to celebrate dad, do it with meaning!

If your dad loves to golf, why not tell him that you think he’s TEE-rific and sponsor a round of golf on his behalf.  Better yet, if you golf, you can join him!  All you need is a bag of tees that you can purchase at any big box store. Add the simple phrase that you can print as a 4×6 photo.

Is your dad  a fan of “pop”?  Give him a classic bottle of his favorite and attach the “my pop rocks” 4×6 printable. If your region of the United States calls it “soda”, you could still make it work by using Pop Rocks candy instead.

Along the same lines, you can give your dad a 2 liter bottle of root beer and tell him how AWEsome he is. My dad is a big fan of root beer so I knew this was something I wanted to create for him.

What dad doesn’t need a new pair of socks?! I know my husband does. I just love this idea in that it’s a practical gift, but with a creative twist. Because dads are needed just like socks!
