{"id":25271,"date":"2024-01-17T17:31:58","date_gmt":"2024-01-17T17:31:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/advint.valpak.com\/advertise\/?post_type=case-study&#038;p=25271"},"modified":"2024-02-19T17:23:36","modified_gmt":"2024-02-19T17:23:36","slug":"goodyear-5-to-1-increase-in-sales","status":"publish","type":"case-study","link":"https:\/\/www.valpak.com\/advertise\/case-study\/goodyear-5-to-1-increase-in-sales","title":{"rendered":"Goodyear \u2013 5.1% increase in sales"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-marketing-objective\">Marketing objective<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To measure the effect of Valpak direct mail on tire sales, service sales\u00a0and number of transactions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-mailing-strategy-campaign\">Mailing strategy\/campaign<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>400,000 households mailed Valpak offers 3 times across 2 markets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Households selected based on 5-mile radius around test&nbsp;stores, custom PRIZM\u00ae profile, demographics and consumer&nbsp;expenditure data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Test and control stores in each market were geographically&nbsp;distant from one another and had similar tire sales, service&nbsp;sales and customer transactions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-results\">Results<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4.6% average net increase in tires sold per day for test stores&nbsp;vs. control stores<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5.1% average net increase in tire sales per day for test stores&nbsp;vs. control stores<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3.3% net increase in number of transactions per day for&nbsp;test stores vs. control stores<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-conclusion\">Conclusion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The test results show Valpak successfully drove customers to Goodyear&nbsp;retail locations, resulting in increased tire and service sales, as well as&nbsp;transactions. The test also indicated a strong offer significantly impacts&nbsp;results, with a dollars-off offer producing a higher lift in tire sales&nbsp;compared to a price-point
