4 Ways to Save on a Bachelorette Party

It’s springtime again, and with that comes what’s known to women as “wedding season”. It’s a time when bridal showers and bachelorette parties are aplenty. These festivities can be great fun, but expenses can also easily add up. Here’s some frugal ways to throw a more affordable bachelorette party.

Theme
Choosing a theme is one of the main things that is important in planning a bachelorette party. Once you have a theme, you can go ahead with picking out the color scheme and everything else. There are a number of themes that you can choose including: Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Ultra Girly (pink and flowers), Daisy, Sleepover and many more. I love finding themes that are not only unique but that also make it easier to find printables, such as the Daisy theme (flowers are easy to find, easy to decorate with and easy to pick a color scheme.)

Color Scheme
Buying what you need in the color scheme can be solved with items from the dollar store. You may have noticed that a lot more dollar stores now carry many decor items and accessories for weddings and bachelorette parties. Solid color paper plates, cups, colored plastic forks and spoons, napkins and table cloths can now be found at great prices. This will save you money that can go to other parts of the party such as food and entertainment.

Invitations
Invitations use to be a major expense but with sites such as Paperless Post and Evite you can send out these invitation without the expense, gas and time. Plus, the electronic invite is cute and can match almost any theme.

Food
I am a big on using coupons to buy grocery items on sale to make appetizers and dips. While this will take some time to prep, the money saved could be worth it. I am also big on trays for parties. When ordering trays you can ask for a discount on multiple trays and cake if you’re buying all of them at one place. A lot of times the wedding cake maker will give a discount on additional cakes such as bridal shower, bachelorette or grooms cake, so be sure to ask.

Being frugal doesn’t mean that you will have less of a party, it will just give you more money for fun!

  1. Love the candy table idea! Priceless and memorable words 🙂

    • I see the gum and the dum dum pops but what is in the “bite me” vase? I can’t tell by looking at the picture.

      • Hi..love the candy words..not sure what’s the bite me vase..what candies is that?

  2. They look like bite sized Twizzlers to me and if they’re not, seems like that would be a great option.
