How to Have Fun When You Do Cardio
Exercising is not always the most fun thing on the planet. Not everyone loves it. But it’s still important. We still need to incorporate some sort of physical activity into our daily routine in order to exercise our bodies and be in our best health. Specifically, we need to get in some cardio — it’s crucial to keeping our hearts beating strong and healthy.
But for many people, the sheer thought of going to the gym or running is enough to end it before it even starts. So, we found some actually fun ways to get you up and moving! Yep, get your cardio without even realizing you’re working out.
Cardio is the pet-name we’ve given to cardiovascular exercise to make it sound cuter than it actually is. To break it down, cardio means “of the heart” and vascular means “circulation,” and a cardio workout is usually measured through the way your heart rate fluctuates. While running might be the most obvious cardio workout, really anything that brings your heart rate over halfway to its maximum capacity counts. (You can calculate your maximum heart rate here.)
