Before you take advantage of the spring promotions at Home Depot or Lowe’s, make sure you do some planning. In fact, the more you prepare, the more money and time you will save.

Most major home improvement project websites have good ideas for budgeting, planning and executing your projects. It’s a less scattershot approach than, say, sifting through dozens of YouTube videos.
