Exercise is important to good health. When you’re pregnant, you have to take a few more precautions, but there’s no reason to be inactive if your health care provider gives you the OK. Working out with your home gym or at a health club membership should be on your list of things to do while pregnant.
But what about more advanced athletes, such as runners? Isn’t the sport hard on your changing body and developing fetus? Should you cut back or cut it out?

The aim of physical activity during pregnancy is to help maintain a good fitness level, and is not for pushing your body to the limit to win competitions. You should not be training for peak fitness.
