Valpak is looking for a dynamic Sales Professional!

Our sole mission is to connect advertisers to consumers who are looking for ways to save, fun things to do, and ideas for improving their home utilizing direct marketing, SEO, SEM, web sites, Google AdWords, and much, much more. With nearly 50 years in business, ongoing training and development programs, and all the new technology available today for communicating, we are in a unique position to help advertisers in a way that no one else can.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing a sales and marketing strategy to maximize revenue potential and efficiently serve the needs of our customers. You will be responsible for increasing market penetration of Valpak Solutions. Success will come to those have a strong desire!

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and develop new business via phone prospecting, face-to-face cold calling, and networking
  • Service and renew existing accounts
  • Identify key decision makers in our area and be able to develop marketing programs derived from Valpak’s product portfolio
  • Meet sales goals
  • Network in the local community as a Valpak Brand Ambassador
  • Keep abreast of business and industry trends

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  • Well-developed technological skills (PC, Internet, MS Office, CRM, Mobile)
  • Ability to manage deadlines and to operate with a sense of urgency
  • Understanding of digital media platforms
  • Must be results oriented and have a record of success working in a goal-oriented, highly accountable environment
  • High School diploma, but college degree is preferred
  • Experience in print and digital advertising sales preferred, but not required
  • Strong analytical skills

 As our inside Sales Development and Retention Representative
you will be an important point of contact for our local business advertising
prospects and a situational contact for
continuing advertisers. 

Your role will be to
ensure that our sales team is successful and our advertisers are happy.
Your primary job will be to secure qualified
meetings with prospects that help the sales team meet their sales and revenue
targets. Your secondary job will be to be in contact with current advertisers
to access their satisfaction with our service and identify opportunities to
increase it. 

Your responsibilities
will be to:

Prospect for new
advertisers
including researching, identifying, and qualifying prospects in
local businesses who spend money on advertising: 

· Heavy out bound phone and email prospecting of
these prospects 

· Making meeting appointments for the sales team
and calendaring these meetings. 

· Following up with sales team as to the success
of the meetings 

· Keeping accurate and detailed records of
conversations etc in Salesforce 

· Working with sales team members to ensure
nurturing of the identified prospect opportunities through to the sale. 

· Once the sale is made contacting the new
advertiser to access their satisfaction with the sales process, make sure they
understand what to expect, and welcome them to Valpak. 

Work with current advertisers
to constantly and consistently access their satisfaction with our service: 

· Contacting new advertisers after their first
mailings to access their satisfaction with our service. 

· Making contact within 2 months of the expiration
of an advertiser’s agreement to discover their satisfaction and renewal
intentions. 

· Additional contacts a deemed necessary. 

Requirements:

· You must be personable, motivated, articulate,
teachable, and not afraid to make phone calls to any business small or large. 

· You must be organized and timely. 

· You must possess computer skills. 

· A working knowledge of Salesforce and Outlook is
required 

This is a flexible
position with hourly compensation plus bonuses on sales generated and
retained.
