The Gilbert Historical Museum at HD South houses many themed rooms that highlight various aspects of life in Gilbert AZ ranging from the history of schools, occupations, military, local church history, and pioneer home life.
It offers a variety of monthly programs and events for all ages and interests. The building which houses the museum was built in 1913 and used initially as a school. It was placed on the national register of historical places in 1980.
